The launch of the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 will take place alongside the Xiaomi Civi smartphone in China on Monday, September 27, the company said online. The new smartwatch will be the successor to Xiaomi’s Mi Watch Color, launched in December 2019. Just like its predecessor, the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 comes with a circular display. The smartwatch will have a list of watch faces and sport modes. It will also come with bracelets in different colors to choose from.
Xiaomi Watch Color 2 launch details
Xiaomi shared a teaser picture on Weibo to announce the launch date of the Xiaomi Watch Color 2. The smartwatch will be accompanied by the Xiaomi Civi smartwatch and the Xiaomi TWS 3 Pro earphones at the event scheduled at 2:00 p.m. CST Asia (11:30 a.m. IST) on September 27.
The teaser also shows Xiaomi Watch Color 2 in two separate color options. The smartwatch will retain the circular display design of the original Mi Watch Color, as shown in the picture.
Xiaomi also announced that Xiaomi Watch Color 2 will support more than 200 watch faces and come in six different colored strap versions. Separately, the smartwatch is teased for having 117 sport modes. Further details on Xiaomi Watch Color 2 have yet to be revealed.
In 2019, Xiaomi launched the Mi Watch Color with features like heart rate tracking and sleep analysis. It was introduced in China with an optional price of CNY 799 (around Rs 9,100) in silver and black color and six strap options, as well as a premium alligator leather version.
Mi Watch Color debuted as Mi Watch Revolve in India last year. It came to Rs. 10,999 for the one-size-fits-all 46mm variant.
The specifications of Mi Watch Color (Mi Watch Revolve) include a 1.39 inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top and a 420 mAh battery. It also supports Bluetooth v5 BLE support and is compatible with Android and iOS devices.
