Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 specs, display sizes listed; Said to get an improved crease

Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 will get a 6.5-inch cover screen and its internal screen size will be 8 inches, according to a reputable tipster. Xiaomi’s second foldable phone is also said to have an improved crease on the internal screen. Moreover, information about the specifications and design of the smartphone has also leaked. The phone may have a book-style foldable design – just like the Mi Mix Fold – and could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC.

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims that Xiaomi’s alleged Mi Mix Fold 2 smartphone will get 6.5-inch and 8-inch screens with 120Hz refresh rate, as well as DC dimming feature for eye protection. The Mi Mix Fold’s cover display comes with a 60Hz refresh rate. The tipster goes on to claim that the new foldable’s internal display will benefit from LTPO technology, and that the “Fold will be much better” ( translated) than its predecessor. It is assumed that the screen of the Mi Mix Fold 2 will have a finer crease than that of the Mi Mix Fold.

Moreover, the tipster says that Mi Mix Fold 2 will be powered by the rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC. This chipset, which could carry the model number SM8475, would be based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing platform and would offer a number of improvements. The phone is said to be launched “in the middle of the year”.

Xiaomi has not launched the Mi Mix Fold in India and it is unknown if the Chinese company will launch the second generation of its foldable phone in the country.
