Warzone players have been complaining about the power of planes since the move to the Pacific. Instead of nerfing them, Activision released a secret buff that makes them even stronger.
Planes were first introduced to Warzone with the Caldera update. This World War II theme brought the flying craft that rained terror on the island.
They’re so strong that people have been shadowbanned for abusing a trick that helps boost their K/D.
While fans expected them to be nerfed, the Warzone devs had other ideas and didn’t even let the community know that they had made a massive change to planes.

A Twitter clip from Warzone streamer IceManIsaac revealed that planes receive even more power by allowing them to finish off downed enemies.
Before, people in airplanes could only hit an opponent, but now they can secure the kill from the safety of the sky.
Fans weren’t happy to realize it was put in the game. Another content creator, Expel, made a joke saying sarcastically, “Thank God they fixed that.”
Thank goodness they fixed that. I was worried that controller players could no longer lose 40s 🙄

The other people were upset by this and wondered why the developers would strengthen a feature that was already strong. “No way they polished the plane lmao.”
Another person couldn’t believe this even made it into the game and questioned the decision to even put planes in Warzone. “How did they think adding these planes would add some kind of balance.”
This is far from the first time that players have complained that these celestial vehicles are too powerful. But, there still hasn’t been a nerf to make them less oppressive on Caldera.
