State Minister for Information Technology T Mano Thangaraj held a review meeting on Wednesday on the activities of the Tamil Nadu ICT academy. He did a detailed evaluation of various programs run by the Academy and discussed future plans.
The minister urged the need to analyze the skills gap in Tamil Nadu and work towards improving employability in the state. He insisted that the ICT Academy should carry out activities and projects that would have a greater impact on the young people and improve paid employment after training.
Given the huge need for skills development for employment purposes, the Minister took a special interest in ICT Academy and discussed the bigger plans.
Lakshmi Narayanan, ICT Academy chairman and officials attended the review meeting, a government press release said.
