The PlayStation Network had a tough time on Tuesday night. For about 45 minutes, Sony’s PlayStation Network status page showed that all of its services were experiencing issues in one way or another, affecting things like signing into your account and signing into PlayStation. Now and PlayStation Store. Now, however, the site shows that everything is “up and running”.
It’s unclear exactly how widespread the problems were. Personally, I was able to connect online in transmitted by blood and message a colleague, but the PS5’s PlayStation Store was having trouble loading a lot of content. Others were experiencing more serious online connection issues, including “error code WS-37469-9”, as noted in this thread on the r/PS5 subreddit. Downdetector shows that there have been over 12,000 user reports of problems.
epic games tweeted also during the breakdown, pointing fortnite PlayStation gamers who may have had connection issues watching Sony’s PlayStation Network status site. To my surprise, I was able to connect to fortnite and entering a match even after force quitting the app and restarting it, so the issues didn’t seem to affect everyone.
