Samsung is hosting its Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event on October 20, an event for which it has already sent out surprise invites. Recent rumors have indicated that the company is expected to launch its long-rumored Galaxy S21 FE at the virtual event, but more recent rumors claim the launch has been delayed due to chip shortage and supply-line issues.

The last leak About the S21 FE delay comes from tipster Jon Prosser, who said on Twitter that the phone has been delayed until January, with a launch tipped for January 11, 2022. Max Weinbach also echoed the information in the tweet’s comments. However, there are no Galaxy S21 FE launch teasers from the company, so while the latest rumors may be correct, we still advise viewing them with skepticism.

The device was spotted on the support page of Samsung’s German website with model number SM-G990B/DS, and it was also listed on the Chinese 3C certification website and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website. Reports have revealed the presence of fast charging up to 45 watts for a battery from 4,500 mAh. Right now, all that’s pending is the release date.
