The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which oversees UPI instant digital payments, said it does not recognize Coinbase’s decision.

In response, the crypto exchange has vouched to work within the Indian legal framework, while claiming that it has trusted payment partners who will help facilitate UPI payments for purchases of crypto assets.
