ITHACA, NY — The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a 37-year-old woman from Ithaca who has not been seen for about 30 hours.

Police say Sylvie A. Ginenthal, of the town of Ithaca, left her house on Seven Mile Drive at 9:30 am on December 16 to “walk around the town of Ithaca or the Buttermilk Falls area” . Apparently, we haven’t heard from her since, although it is not known exactly when she was reported missing.

Ginenthal is described as “a white woman about 5’0” tall, 120 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. Sylvie was last seen wearing a blue knit beanie and a brown and gray shoulder bag.
