NewTek boosts TriCaster range with internet-enabled model

NewTek, which specialises in IP-based video technology, has launched the TriCaster Mini X.

The latest addition is the first model in the TriCaster range to boast Live Link, which allows any element from a web page to be pulled into a production without the need to use third-party applications. Ranging from graphics or images to videos from an organisation’s internal training platforms, this turns the entire internet into a source for productions.

The the all-in-one desktop TriCaster Mini X offers access to eight external sources with four integrated HDMI inputs, and supports modern resolutions up to 4Kp30. It also features HTML rendering directly in the switcher, with access to HTML 5 motion graphics, web pages and web-based video playback without having to use a separate computer.

Creators can use their existing devices with the TriCaster Mini X, as off-the-shelf HDMI devices – from cameras to microphones – connect directly to the Mini X in minutes.

Barbara Spicek, president and general manager of NewTek, said: “The past two years have brought into sharp focus the importance not only of the accessibility of quality video production solutions, but also tools that set productions apart. By introducing the TriCaster Mini X, we prove that you don’t have to be a seasoned expert with limitless resources to tell your story with all the bells and whistles of a broadcast giant.”
