Motorola’s new budget smartphone has 3 days of battery life – Review Geek

Motorola just released an upgraded version of the Moto G Power for $ 250, and man, that looks like a great phone for the price. This new model has a 3-day battery life, a 50 MP main camera, IP52 dust and water resistance and, to our surprise, a 90Hz screen.

I’m not going to pretend that the Moto G Power is a shocking new device. But like the Moto G Pure, it’s one of the only budget phones that eschews silly trends to focus on things that really matter, like usability, battery life, and device quality. Photo.

To this end, the Moto G Power has a 5,000mAh battery with 3 days of battery life, a fingerprint reader and a 50 MP main camera. It still uses the 8MP selfie camera, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor from its predecessor, and while its 6.5-inch 720p display isn’t Full HD, it does offer a 90Hz refresh rate for super smooth scrolling and animations.

There’s also an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor, 4GM of RAM, and 128GB of storage, which is great for those who just scroll through Facebook and watch YouTube videos (but not ideal for gaming or heavy use). . The only major issue I see with this phone is its lack of NFC – you can’t use this puppy for Google Pay or similar contactless payment services.

The Moto G Power will be launched “in the next few months”. It will begin its deployment at Metro by T-Mobile and Republic Wireless before reaching other operators. Oh, and for bargain hunters, Motorola will be launching an unlocked 64GB version of the Moto G Power for just $ 200 in 2022.
