Srinagar: Mobile internet services were suspended in parts of Kashmir on Monday in the Valley as a ‘precautionary measure’.
The districts include Srinagar’s Anchar, Eidgah, Qamarwari, Soura, MR Gung, Nowhatta, SafaKadal, Bagyass, Kulgam’s Wahpoh, Qaimoh and Pulwama’s Litter.
This comes in response to recent civilian killings in Kashmir. Eleven civilians have been killed by militants in Kashmir in the past 15 days, sparking fear in the valley.
On Saturday, a Bihar street vendor and a worker from Uttar Pradesh were killed in two consecutive attacks by militants in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier this month, a Bihar street vendor Virendra Paswan was killed by militants in the Eidgah area of Srinagar. (KINS)
