Major YouTube features and services are experiencing global outage

If you’ve been having trouble logging into YouTube or noticed some of the video sharing site’s menus are missing, you’re not alone in experiencing these issues.

On Tuesday, users on Downdetector started reporting that they were having problems using and accessing YouTube services. Issues include not being able to sign in, not being able to switch accounts, not being able to find navigation and settings menus (especially the bar on the left), and even getting a “No Internet Connection” error while videos are playing.

The official @TeamYouTube Twitter account tweeted a response saying that YouTube was aware of the issues and working on a fix:

We’re getting reports from all over the 🌎 that some of you are having issues with certain features of YouTube services (eg logging in, switching accounts & using the navigation bar) – we’re aware & working on a fix.

The tweet also included a link to a Google support update thread where users can view updates on the situation, “including ETA for a resolution.” The pinned post currently has over t3.00 upvotes.

There is currently no known ETA for a fix and users are still reporting issues with Downdetector. We’ll update you when we know more.
