JioPhone Next, Snapdragon 215, Android 11 (Go Edition) and 13MP camera specifications leak
Two months ago, Indian conglomerate Reliance announced the JioPhone Next – an entry-level smartphone built in collaboration with Google. Its launch is slated for September 10, and it promises to become India’s most affordable smartphone once it goes on sale. We haven’t heard much about the device since its announcement so far, as XDA’s Mishaal Rahman revealed Next’s key specs via Twitter.
The phone will come with a 1440×720 resolution display and Qualcomm’s entry-level 215 chipset which also powers Nokia 1.4. The RAM reaches 2 GB while the software department is covered by Android 11 (GB Edition). Rahman has also confirmed that the phone comes with Google’s Camera Go and Duo Go apps preinstalled and it will be interesting to see if Google has contributed any other exclusive optimizations for the Next. The front camera is 8MP while the single rear shooter has a 13MP OmniVision OV13B10 sensor.
