Internet crash hits city offices in Salem

SALEM, MA — Residents seeking to contact a municipal office in Salem had to go old school Wednesday morning.

They had to use the phone.

City offices were without email and internet late in the morning due to a network outage.

Officials said the city’s IT department and network provider were working to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, those wishing to reach a municipal department were encouraged to use the directory here to reach departments by telephone.
