
You can use Google Image Search to find images, image information, or visually similar images on your iPhone or iPad. You can search with keywords, with an image that you have found, or with an image that you have saved on your device.

How to find an image with Google Image Search
You can use your favorite browser or the Google app to find an image. Once you find one, you can further refine search results based on Google’s suggestions to find a suitable image.
To get started, open the Google Images Search site in Safari or Google Chrome on your iPhone or iPad. Type words to search for any image you would like to see.
Or, with the Google app, simply enter a search term and click “Images” from the results page.
You will get lots of images in search results. On the bar between the images and search category tabs, you will find tiles with relevant words related to the search term you entered. You can keep swiping left on this section until you find an appropriate relevant word.
When you select an appropriate word, it will narrow down the image search results further.
Tap the Settings icon to see more sorting options such as Latest, GIF, HD, Product, Color Options, and Usage Rights. You can choose one to further tweak the results.
How to search with an image from Google search results
If you find an image you like in the image search results, you can search for similar images using the Google Lens feature.
To do this, open Google Images search in your favorite app and search for an image. In the search results, tap one of the images.
Tap the Google Lens icon (square with circle).
The selected photo will open with selection handles around the subject of the photo. You can use these handles to focus on a specific area of the photo (like text) or the entire image.
You will see the search results in a dialog box below the image. If you adjust your selection, the search results will change.
How to search with a saved image in a browser
If you photographed or downloaded an image on your iPhone or iPad, you can use it in the Google Images search page to find more details or view similar images. You will need to open Google Images Search in desktop view before downloading the image.

To get started, launch the Google Images Search site in a browser on your iPhone or iPad. Next, you will need to open the site in its desktop version. Here’s how you can do it.
In Safari, tap the “aA” icon in the address bar and select “Request desktop site” from the context menu.
In Google Chrome, tap the three horizontal dots in the lower left corner and select “Request desktop site” from the pop-up menu. Other browsers will have a similar option in the page settings.
The Google Images search page will appear as a desktop version in your mobile browser. Next, tap the “Search by Image” (camera) icon.
Select the “Upload Image” tab when the “Search by Image” box appears.
Press the “Choose File” button and select “Photo Library” to browse, select and download the saved photo to your iPhone or iPad.
Once the photo is uploaded, Google Images Search will redirect you to a results page where you will see Google’s best estimate based on the uploaded photo. You will also see similar images on the same page and the links where the similar photo appears.

How to Search with Saved Image in Google App
You can use the Google app to search for similar images or find more details about the image saved on your iPhone or iPad.
To get started, launch the Google app on your iPhone or iPad. To the right of the “Search” field, tap the “Google Lens” button (a camera icon).
On the “Google Lens” screen, tap the media icon at the bottom.
If the Google app is accessing the photo gallery for the first time, it will ask you to allow access to your photo library.
When your gallery photos appear, tap the photo you want to use for image search. When the selected photo appears in the Google app, tap it.
Google Lens will download the image and display the photo with selection handles around it. You can drag these white handles to adjust the selection area.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see a white section where similar images appear. Swipe over to see these images.
That’s it! You can use Google search in incognito mode on iPhone and iPad if you want to search anonymously.
