Hero Electric said on Tuesday it has partnered with electric vehicle charging platform ElectricPe to set up charging points across India for its customers. The collaboration involves Hero Electric users accessing ElectricPe’s charging network.
The charging stations would be installed in residential complexes, offices, shopping centers and other establishments.
The alliance will help strengthen the charging network and propel the adoption of electric vehicles across the country, Hero Electric said in a statement.
“A robust charging network is crucial for the growing EV industry to accelerate EV adoption across the segment. This combination will provide a seamless EV charging and driving experience for customers. by facilitating accessibility through ElectricPe charging points that are being installed at scale across the country,” noted Hero Electric CEO Sohinder Gill.
With the company’s vision and commitment to advancing the growth of electric vehicles, it is working rigorously to develop charging infrastructure, he added.
“We are confident that the partnership will help support the push towards electric vehicles and facilitate a smooth transition to clean and green mobility solutions,” said Gill.
ElectricPe co-founder and CEO Avinash Sharma said the partnership with Hero Electric will further its goal of bringing clean and affordable access to charging to one billion Indians, right on their doorstep.
