As March draws to a close and April is just around the corner, Google is readying its next round of monthly updates for Android devices. Unlike a regular update which is downloaded separately via system updates, the upcoming April 2022 Google system updates will be supported via an automatic update from Google Play, making it available for all android phones.
The upcoming April 2022 Google System Updates are rolling out helpful revisions to the Google Play Store. As in March, Google continues to improve the Play-as-you-download feature that lets users start playing a game while the rest of the app finishes downloading. The new update also brings additional optimizations to the Play Store experience to help find the best Android apps possible.
As with many past Android updates, there are a host of bug fixes and privacy improvements to help make the operating system more secure. We’re also making improvements to Google Play’s billing process, which will soon support flexible Play Store billing options. Along with changes to the Play Store, the new update brings updates to system management services which aim to improve the communication suite for Android devices such as connectivity, stability, and more.

The April 2022 Update will be rolling out on April 1 to all Android devices. Rather than the latest Pixel 6 receiving the first few updates, these device improvements will be available to all Android devices running Google Play Services.
