Successfully tendered in partnership with Dougan & Associates Ecological Consulting to provide data services to the District of Muskoka to facilitate long-term monitoring of land use and natural capital changes in the watershed of Muskoka. Project funding provided by the Government of Ontario.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Fobi AI Inc. (FOBI: TSXV) (FOBIF: OTCQB) (the “Company” or “Fobi”), a leading intelligence on data that uses artificial intelligence to help customers transform real-time data into actionable insights and personalized customer engagement are pleased to announce a data consulting agreement to facilitate long-term tracking of the Land Use and Natural Capital Changes in the Muskoka Watershed for the District of Muskoka, in cooperation with Dougan & Associates (“Dougan”). Funding for this project is provided by the Government of Ontario.

Dougan & Associates is one of Canada’s oldest and most respected environmental consultants and has completed a very long list of successful projects with regional government organizations at multiple levels of government. As all levels of government seek to use new technologies that leverage data to better characterize, protect and manage natural assets and better serve their constituents, the company believes the capabilities of Fobi AI provide a framework for the future success of these government contracts.

Steven Hill, Principal at Dougan & Associates, said, “The joint offering with Fobi and Fobi’s data and AI capabilities have definitely given us a competitive differentiation – integrating an artificial intelligence in various data workflows is one of the reasons we won the bid. Working with the technical team at Fobi on the data integration has been amazing. Their ability to work with our domain experts to piece together disparate data silos is impressive and creates tremendous value to add to Ai to enable real-world use of data for planning. This data framework that we are building has applications not only for regional and local governments, but also for other opportunities. »

Fobi CEO Rob Anson said: “Over the past few months I have been invited to speak at various technology and government resource and planning events. This successful bidding award in partnership with Dougan & Associates for the District of Muskoka as subject matter experts for AI and data consulting is very significant. This project positions us well and increases our success for other similar tender opportunities (requests for proposals) from municipal and regional governments. »

Going forward, Dougan & Associates and Fobi will jointly market these new capabilities to municipal, regional and provincial governments, as well as other target vertical markets currently under consideration. Digital transformation to connect disparate data sources is a common need in both government and business.

With its vast natural areas and numerous lakes and waterways, Muskoka is rich in natural capital – soils, forests, grasslands, wetlands – that are vital to its economy and quality of life. Effective management can maintain this capital as much as possible while allowing for the development needed to house its population and sustain its economy.

This natural capital plays a role in determining the flow of water in streams, rivers and lakes. However, Muskoka lacked a detailed understanding of how natural capital affects the flow from place to place in its watershed, as well as how climate change may alter these regulatory processes.

Dougan & Associates bid on this large project for the District of Muskoka which requires bringing together multiple sources of unstructured data to create a comprehensive understanding of environmental conditions in the Muskoka River watershed.

Realizing that key data workflow requirements around building AI models on the project were outside of their area of expertise, Dougan reached out to Fobi in recognition of the fact that they are the a leader in AI-driven data analytics in Canada. . Specifically, Dougan needed Fobi’s industry-leading capabilities to bring together complex, siled datasets and leverage insights using AI as a critical asset for successful tender award.

Funding for this project is provided by the Government of Ontario through the Muskoka Watershed Conservation and Management Initiative.
