Pakistan is currently in the Netherlands these days.
The team is facing the hosts in a three-match ODI series.
Pakistan have already sealed the series by winning the first two matches.
Babar Azam, the Pakistani skipper, is one of the best batters of present times. The 27-year-old’s numbers in international cricket are exceptionally good and, at present, he is in the top three rankings in all three formats of the game. The right-handed batter is in great touch in ODIs this year and has scored seven fifty-plus scores in eight matches.
There’s no match for Babar in world cricket at the moment. He is scoring runs for fun and will hope to continue his good form in the upcoming matches as well. Pakistan, which is in the Netherlands these days, is set to take part in the Asia Cup T20 tournament next week before hosting England for seven T20Is and then travelling to Australia to participate in the T20 World Cup, and Babar’s display will have a big say in Pakistan’s result.
In the last edition of the showpiece event, the Pakistani skipper finished as the highest run getter and played a big role in the team’s run to the semifinals. He was instrumental in Pakistan’s 10-wicket win over India as well, which ended Pakistan’s duck of World Cup wins against the arch-rivals.

Ahead of travelling to the United Arab Emirates for the Asia Cup, Pakistan will take on the Netherlands on Sunday (August 21) in the third and final ODI. Whenever Babar is in action, he is the talk of the town, but on social media, the Pakistani skipper is trending for an altogether different reason these days, and that is his English, which is something fans were not impressed with.
Babar’s post-match interview after Pakistan’s win in the second ODI became a hot topic of debate, with fans questioning his spoken English. “It was a good effort by the fast bowlers; they bowled well with the new ball. The spinners bowled well later on, so we were happy. In the morning, there was moisture on the pitch. That’s why I wanted to bowl first. The wicket was under cover yesterday, anyway credit to the pacers and the spinners. We are trying different combinations; Salman showed his class today. He played very well today, so looking forward to the next game,” Babar said to the presenter.
Pakistani cricketers are often trolled for their spoken English and Babar was no exception. As soon as his video went viral on the internet, fans flooded the social media, trolling the batting great.
No disrespect to Babar Azam, but it is the most funniest video, I seen on Twitter today. 😁 t.co/5ihWljphrE
