Charge your iPhone and Apple Watch in style with Nomad’s new MagSafe mount – Review Geek

Why use a bunch of messy cables when MagSafe is there? Nomad’s new MagSafe charging stand, the Base One Max, features an ultra-sleek design, fast charging, and additional charging stand for your Apple Watch. It’s available now for $150.

Most MagSafe accessories, except those from Apple, only charge your iPhone at 7.5 watts. But because the Base One Max is an “official MagSafe charger”, it actually reaches 15 watts. That’s pretty exceptional, and of course the Base One Max also charges your Apple Watch at full speed.

Design-wise, the Base One Max features a metal stand and a “floating” glass top panel. It weighs a surprising two pounds, and it looks like a real Apple accessory. Although I guess that’s what you would expect at $150.

I should note that Nomad also sells a MagSafe charger for iPhone only. Called Base One, it costs $130 and charges an iPhone at 15 watts. But this smaller charger doesn’t come with a USB-C power supply, so the fully charged Base One Max may be a more cost-effective option.

You can order the Base One Max from Nomad for $150. Or, if you don’t have an Apple Watch, you can always get the cheaper Base One stand. Remember that the cheapest stand does not come with an AC adapter.
