BLACKPINK’s Lisa Sets Fastest Record to Reach 300 Million Streams on Spotify

Lisa, member of K-pop group BLACKPINK, debut solo album “MONEY” set a new record on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.

Lisa’s agency YG Entertainment said on Dec. 30 that “MONEY” hit 300 million streams on Spotify that morning. This is the milestone in 112 days after its September 10 release. Additionally, it is the fastest record that the song released by the K-pop solo artist has surpassed 300 million streams.

The previous fastest record was Jennie’s “Solo”, which reached 300 million streams for the first time as a Korean solo artist in about 960 days.

The title track from Lisa’s solo album “LALISA” previously topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 72 countries and the Global YouTube Song Top 100 charts for 2 consecutive weeks. In addition, “LALISA” and “MONEY” ranked 84th and 93rd respectively on Billboard’s “Hot 100” charts, successfully entering the top charts in the global pop market.

In particular, “MONEY” has shown its long-term popularity, ranking fifth on Spotify’s global ranking. Additionally, it has been on the official UK Top 100 Singles and US Billboard Hot 100 for eight and two consecutive weeks, respectively.
