Every year, we like to take a fresh look at the different shortcut options available with the Shortcuts app on iOS and Mac devices, just to see what’s new. We found several useful shortcut options and rounded them up to MacRumors readers.

  • Internet radio search – Internet radio search is designed for you to search, select and listen to various Internet radio stations.
  • Play the entire current album – If you’re listening to an Apple Music song and want to listen to the entire album, this is the shortcut to get. It finds the album to which the currently playing track belongs, then plays the entire album.
  • Search on – Search On is a search tool for everything. When you run the shortcut, it provides a sheet of options, so you type in what you’re looking for, then you can choose to search Google, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, Amazon, and other sources.
  • Shazam++ – Shazam++ lets you Shazam a song and then open it on your favorite music platform, allowing you to quickly listen to Shazamed content on any music service of your choice. It also provides information about artist, album and song, lyrics, sharing tools, etc.
  • iPod shuffle – iPod Shuffle creates a random list of 100 songs from songs you’ve added to ‌Apple Music‌ over the years. You can select different time periods, such as last year, last two years, or last three years.
  • Editor – Redditer is a simple shortcut that takes you straight to your favorite subreddit.
  • Built-in sounds – This shortcut plays background sounds built into iOS devices, but you don’t need to go to accessibility settings to access it.
  • Open the app on Apple TV 1 – This simple shortcut is designed to wake up your Apple TV and launch the app you select, such as the TV app.
